Amazing flamenco guitar by Vassilis Lazarides build in a new mould based on a guitar made by senior Manuel Reyes with 100% identical bracings and setup. By taking up the maintenance, functional repair and restorations of many Reyes flamenco guitars, Lazarides had the opportunity to analyze, from within, how these famous Reyes flamenco guitars are constructed. Next he decided to make an identical mould enabling him to contruct a true Reyes guitar down to the smallest detail. The result: Very powerful sweet sound with great aesthetics. The strong, voice-like trebles are balanced by the big low end which is full but not boomy. Sweet as the tone is, she still has the aggressive response when pushed in the right direction, rasguedos in particular are explosive, crispy and powerful, the volume on this guitar is remarkably huge. Very generous string spacing and the low, fast action makes playing really effortless. The string height at the 12th fret set for 2.5mm however still plenty of room to set it lower, 1.6mm is achievable as the neck angle is perfectly set. Vassilis placed his new and very detailed traditional rosette around the sound whole and gave the guitar a bit of colour to make the design timeless. Overall this guitar is a dream with a truly outstanding flamenco sound, very unlikely possible to achieve more.
