As played by Vicente Amigo on his latest CD ‘Tierra. In summary or simply said: A Miguel Rodriguez inspired negra with a strong Manuel Reyes similar sound at a very affordable price.
This Graciliano Pérez spruce top negra has a feather-like weight and an enormous power and projection. Strongly influenced by Graciliano's friendship with the late Miguel Rodriguez (also from Cordoba), she is very reminiscent in sound and playability of an older Manuel Reyes (also from Cordoba) from the 60s and early 70s projecting this very particular, characterized and distinctive crispy flamenco sound with an enchanting timbre. Graciliano's guitars are played by great flamenco guitarists including Vicente Amigo. She has the character and style of the great true Andalucian flamencos over the past century.
Graciliano Pérez Carrizosa, born on June 23rd 1955 in Puerto llano Ciudad Real, moved to Cordoba at the age of nine where he started playing flamenco guitar and met the renowned master luthier Miguel Rodriguez Beneyto of Cordoba. As a result, Graciliano's guitars are strongly influenced by Miguel Rodriguez and his friendship with the Rodriguez family lasted until the unfortunate death of Miguel Rodriguez. Graciliano lived in the same street where the workshop of the very young Rodriguez was located. After attending several courses at the Conservatory of Music in Cordoba and studying guitar music with Manuel Cano, Graciliano thoroughly analysed the instruments of Pérez Rodríguez, eventually learning how to build his own guitars, always driven by the particular sound qualities and playability of his flamenco guitars.
