Graciliano Pérez Carrizosa, born on June 23rd 1955 in Puertollano Ciudad Real, moved to Cordoba at the age of nine where he started playing flamenco guitar and met the renowned master luthier Miguel Rodríguez Beneyto of Cordoba. Graciliano lived in the same street where the workshop of the very young Rodríguez was located. After attending several courses at the Conservatory of Music in Cordoba and studying guitar music with Manuel Cano, Graciliano thoroughly analysed the instruments of Pérez Rodríguez, eventually learning how to build his own guitars, always driven by the particular sound qualities and playability. Besides his friendship with the Rodríguez family, Graciliano Perez is also a close friend of Vicente Amigo, also living in Cordoba, who advises Graciliano intensively about playability and sound. As a result, Graciliano's guitars are strongly influenced by the late Miguel Rodríguez and the continuous exchanges with Vicente Amigo.
