This fairly sought after vintage flamenco guitar was made 3 years before the death of Jose Ramirez II during the greatest period of the Ramirez dynasty when several important guitar makers such as Paulino Bernabe, Marcelo Barbero, Manuel Rodriguez and of course his son Jose Ramirez III were working at the Ramirez shop. Apart from 3 expertly repaired and stable cracks in the back, the condition is completely pristine and excellent. This incredible featherweight 1954 Jose Ramirez flamenco guitar has gorgeous cypress back and sides with a spruce top. She is one of the most beautiful sounding guitars having a very warm, sweet, punchy and old-world sound which only comes with over 70 years of age. Over the years the sound qualities of spruce improve a lot. The over 70 years spruce top adds so much more colors, depth, responsiveness and brightness that she is a pure joy to play, a sweet, charming crispy dry flamenco tone that so many players crave. Playability is superb. Highly collectible and wonderful for performing.
